Simple Plan adalah band Pop-Punk Canada yang beranggotakan 5 orang, Pierre (Vocal), Bastien (Guitar), Jeff (Guitar) David (Bass) dan Chuck (Drum) awalnya Pierre dengan Chuck ada di band RESET sewaktu masih kelas 1 SMA dan udah sempat ngeliris 2 Album + banyak Video Clip, tapi baru setahun band RESET sukses, Chuck ngelanjutin kuliahnya, dan RESET sempat kehilangan Bass, jadi Pierre Main Bass + Nyanyi. sementara itu David vocalis di band lamanya (kurang tau apa namanya), karna hubungannya cukup dekat dengan Chuck dia diminta untuk main bass di RESET sebelum dia ninggalin RESET (aneh, bukannya nyari pengganti sebagai drum), jadi Pierre nyanyi lagi, terus gak lama kemudian dari daerah lain, Bastien dengan Jeff lagi berusaha membentuk band (kawan SMA nya pierre), terus si Pierre keluar dari RESET jadi gabung dgn mereka berdua (dulu belum ada namanya)
Gak lama setelah si Pierre keluar si Chuck reunian dgn Pierre dan ikut dengan band baru Jeff dan Bastien yg masih belum ada namanya itu, terus si David ikut (padahal David baru sekitar 6 bulan gabung), setelah itu diberi nama Simple Plan (padahal proses pembentukannya rumit) yang kemudian bergabung dengan studio LAVA dengan lagu demo yang judul nya “Anything” (sekarang nama lagunya “I’d Do Anything” feat Mark Hoppus Blink 182)
Jadi itulah sejarah simple plan terbentuk, sekarang sejarah lagu perfect nya (lagu yg bercerita tentang seorang anak yangg gak bisa menjadi yang sempurna bagi ayahnya, menyentuh!!), lagu ini sebenarnya lagu yang menceritakan kisah David Desrosiers (29 Agustus 1980),
